I have a friend who lives in NYC and who participates in this every year.
They have a website somewhere, showing videos of their other projects (a "time freeze" at a train station, a Best Buy invasion where all their operatives wore the blue golf shirt and khaki pants, etc.), and with some great background notes.
the Best Buy foray was particularly interesting. BB Security folks were not amused.
