The times, they are a-changin'
An interesting map, courtesy of the New York Times. The red areas are voting districts where the percentage of people voting Republican (for McCain) went up in this last presidential election. The blue areas are districts where the percentage of people voting Democratic (for Obama) went up.
.
The deeper the color, the greater the increase in the percentage. I like the trend. :-)

I notice my old county in Wisconsin is a whole heck of a lot darker blue. That's nice.
in truth, this is what i call "happy stats". the map feels good, but objectively it's probably meaningless.
for instance, anybody who merely voted for Obama as "the lesser of two evils" is going to be counted as part of the Democratic tsunami. And while Utah, Idaho, (and even Texas!) look pretty in blue, the fact is - the stats probably just mean that people who voted for Obama now number 5% of the electorate, instead of 2%.
