We heard a Fry's Grocery Store radio ad earlier this week that began something like this : "In honor of Valentine's Day, fresh asparagus is on sale for only..."

I suggested to Liz that it might be more appropriate for me to make her an asparagus-&-lettuce arrangement (with maybe some radishes or carrots to add a dash of color) instead of spending money on the traditional red roses. She didn't buy into it at all.
