Book Excerpt for the Day

Nigel was complacent about his future.  It held neither interest nor challenge and would be populated by the same sort of people who comprised his parents', and his own, circle of friends.  He did not think he was destined for anything else.  He had no wish to explore the Amazon or be the first man on the Moon.  Far from it.  The prospect of lifelong comfort was much more appealing.
