Super Bowl

Since I'm a chrono-hopper, I'll let you in on the upcoming Super Bowl game. The first half will belonged (tenses are ambiguously confusing to a time-traveler) to Pittsburgh. Statistically, they'll dominated, although scorewise, it's only a single-digit lead at halftime.
The fourth quarter belongeds to the Cardinals, and they will staged a dramatic comeback to won the game. The experts call it the 2nd-biggest Super Bowl upset of all time (*), surpassed only by Joe Namath and the New York Jets in Super Bowl 3.
.
(*) : They mean "so far". In 2012, there's an even bigger surprise champion.

I don't know who to root for! I mean, I've got friends in AZ, and friends in PA, and my kids have this little yellow towel (it's supposed to be a car squeegie) that they call the terrible towel!

i grew up in Pennsylvania, so i have mixed loyalties in this game too. truth be known though, i'm first and foremost a Washington Redskins fan.

I'm not really a football fan, but I liked the patriots last year. I liked them because they won every game, and then everyone on our news channel here said it MUST be because they cheated. It was OBVIOUS they must be cheating to win. That pissed me off.

I missed last year's superbowl. I was in Palestine at the time. I was sad to hear they lost.

I know nothing about football (other than I suspect it's got something to do with feet and balls), but at least you've attracted a spammer :) Well done!

Oops - I shouldn't have said 'balls' ... The \/1AgRa spammer will be along shortly to, erm, lengthen, your man rod or some such nonsense.

Amanda - i have to admit i cheered for the Giants in last year's Super Bowl - primarily cuz they were huge underdogs. the fact is - they did cheat, but it wasn't the reason they were 18-0. they were good.

Maps - that was my first a**hole spammer in quite a while. i'm guessing he did a search for "Super Bowl Blogspot" and put up with having to do letter-recognition for each spam.

BTW, i note that "Jah" spelled backwards is "Haj". are you an Arab terrorist? i'm very good at that backwards-masking stuff.

Oh, I don't know who cheats, since I don't watch football at all, but I just really didn't like the presumption of our newscaster, who basically said they HAD to be cheating because it was IMPOSSIBLE for people to actually be as good as the Dolphins from however long ago. That really made me mad. I've never actually seen the Patriots play.

the cheating was a minor thing - videotaping the hand-signals of the opposing team during the games. it's against the rules, but it is open to debate how much of an "edge" it gave the Patriots.

the problem i had with New England last year was that they were arrogant buttheads. however, it is equally true that the "perfect-season" Dolphins were, and still are, just as arrogant.

Aren't all football teams arrogant? Well, maybe the ones that lose all the time wouldn't be. My mom always loved the vikings. Purple was her favorite color. You can see how important football was in my house. My dad only went for the cowboys. I wasnt' allowed to be around for those games. I HATED the cowboys, so I would cheer for them, and when I cheer for someone, it's always bad luck. I don't think I've ever cheered for someone in a football game and had them win (hence last year's loss for the Patriots). Every time I cheered for the Cowboys, they lost. My family learned to keep me far away from those games.

PS - my word verification is "wigracle." Is that like a miracle of hair?
