Book Excerpt for the Day

“Studley, as we have told you about ten times already, your chickens have eaten patented seeds.  Since you have not paid the patent license fee to Gonsanto, the company that owns the patents, you are in violation of the law.  We don’t care if the seeds blew in from the neighbouring farm.  You should have taken more precautions, like locking your chickens in an airproof chamber.”

“But sirs, they would die without air, wouldn’t they?”

    “Excuses, Studley, excuses.”
