Delusional skeptic, reveling in a multiple-personality disorder. Alternating between a 21st-century blogger, a 3rd-century BC Carthagenian general, a 5th-century BC druid, a 23rd-century BC Beaker-people trader, a 20th-century Estonian freedom-fighter, a time-traveler, and a sheepdog in Wyoming.
We got nothin'. I think we ended up with an inch or so of rain and that was it. Not complaining though, I'm happy to report the lack of hurricane damage. ;)
Jason wondered every day through the hurricane coverage when theywould make the "hello Dolly" joke, and he was real disappointed they never did. He's happy to see it here.
We got lots of good rain in SA, too bad it's burning hot again.
i was raised in Pennsylvania. one of the depressing things about Phoenix summers is their pathetic predictability. June highs are always 105°-115°F or so. In July, the monsoons show up, and the highs are 98°-108°. For August, just subtract 3 degrees from July temps.
in Pennsylvania, we had hot, sticky days. but you could always hope that relief (in the 70's) was just a front away. there is no hope in an Arizona summer. :-(

for the next couple days at least, we here in Phoenix (upper 90's) are going to be just a tad bit cooler than yooze in the Austin/SA area (low 100's).
i'd laugh and tell you it's a dry heat too, but alas, we're doing the muggy monsoon moisture thing.
All I can say is I really miss Wisconsin.
