Dali Sunday
I am a Salvador Dali fanatic. I've got 3 or 4 big books with his works in them. The man was an artistic genius without peer.
This is a legitimate Dali painting. A self-portrait, if you will. The way it presages Photoshop is uncanny. I sometimes get the feeling he was a time-traveler (like I am), and frequently chrono-hopped forward to see what the future in art held.

But it's not a "painting." It's a photo done in collaboration with photographer Philippe Halsman.
good point! a bit of sloppiness on my part. i'll post a 100-year-old Photoshopped image later this week.
No worries. And, for what it's worth, I blog at: www.dali.com
Best,
Paul, who's always happy to meet another Dali aficionado!
oh, I like your Dali site. I especially like the latest print there.
at the risk of showing my ignorance, are those prints, et. al. by Dali, or by people imitating Dali? I assume the former, but I've never seen those in any of my Dali books. then again, like Picasso, Dali was a very prolific artist. putting every sketch, draft, and doodle he ever did into one book would be almost impossible.
anyway, kewl site, Paul! I tried to leave a comment, but apparently I have to be a member of WordPress to do so.
