Surreal Saturday
I don't remember now if this is an actual Salvador Dali creation, or someone emulating his work. Either way, it's quite good.

Salvador Dali Monday
RIP, Salvador Dali. Died 01/23/89. This is one of my favorite Dali paintings, although, truth be told, I have about 100 of those.
It is, however, my favorite Dali title:
50 Abstract Paintings which Seen from Two Metres Change into Three Lenins Disguised as Chinese and Seen from Six Metres Appear as the Head of a Royal Tiger

Dali Thursday!
It was a pleasant surprise yesterday morning, to discover that the comic strip "Zits" found a clever way to work Salvador Dali's limp clocks into the day's cartoon.

Dali Sunday
I am a Salvador Dali fanatic. I've got 3 or 4 big books with his works in them. The man was an artistic genius without peer.
This is a legitimate Dali painting. A self-portrait, if you will. The way it presages Photoshop is uncanny. I sometimes get the feeling he was a time-traveler (like I am), and frequently chrono-hopped forward to see what the future in art held.

Surreal Saturday
It's been a while since I posted something Dali-esque. One of these days, I need to get back to Escher-esque as well.

Happy Birthday, Salvador Dali !
You would've celebrated your 108th birthday today. I wonder what you'd think of all the new technologies - Photoshop, FaceBook, and of course, Kindle. And how many people would be following you on Twitter.

Dali Saturday
It's been a while since we paid tribute to our favorite artist - Salvador Dali. This is from the Photoshop wizards at Worth-1000, of course. It is tantalizing to think of what Dali could've done if he had access to that program.

Escher and Dali
I notice I haven't posted any Daliesque or Escheresque stuff for a long time. Not sure why; those are probably my two favorite artists, and even take-offs of their works are really a salute to them. I've got a couple Escher books on my bookshelf; and 4 or 5 Dali ones.
So here's a couple Worth1000 tributes to them.
Yeah, I know. This blog just oozes culture. You're welcome.
