Time to read
The taxes are done and will be put in the mail tomorrow. But I'm worn out from staying up past my bedtime last night. Seeing who's going home on DWTS frankly doesn't interest me. (*) So it's time to get a couple hours of quality reading in.
(*) : Nevertheless, I predict Wynona's getting the boot tonight.

Tax Night
Something quick, as I'm off to get my taxes done tonight. RIP, Jerry Garcia. One can only dream of what the world would be like if, somewhere along the line, we had elected you POTUS.

Happy Extraterrestrial Abduction Day !
Yeah, it's also the Vernal Equinox. And Mr. Rogers Day. But according to HolidayInsights.com, it's Extraterrestial Abduction Day too.
I'm not sure how to celebrate it. Should I walk around in the woods alone, or go driving down middle-of-nowhere country roads? Should I join a UFO club? They seem to have a high rate of being abducted.
Or is it more of a "Prevention" observance? Use a butt plug in case the kidnapping aliens decide to do an anal probe? Wear a Star Trek uniform shirt that isn't red?

It's freezing!
Yeah, I know. It's winter. But this is Phoenix, Arizona. Valley of the Sun and all that.
It fiddle-farted rain all morning. Then around 3:00 in the afternoon, the cold front apparently finally arrived. With a bunch of hail that turned our office's parking lot briefly white.
Okay fine. But then around 6:00, sh*t got real. We got SNOW! And not just flurries. Enough to lay on windshields and in backyard nooks and crannies. In the 40+ years I've lived here, I have never seen anything like this.
We're now sending this storm to the midwest. Have fun with it there, y'all.

On the briny
A quick pic from our excursion. We did both a chrono-hop and a dimension-hop this time. Don't be alarmed - that starship isn't about to blast our cruise ship. It's beaming us up for one of the daily tours.

Dali Saturday
It's been a while since we paid tribute to our favorite artist - Salvador Dali. This is from the Photoshop wizards at Worth-1000, of course. It is tantalizing to think of what Dali could've done if he had access to that program.

Escher and Dali
I notice I haven't posted any Daliesque or Escheresque stuff for a long time. Not sure why; those are probably my two favorite artists, and even take-offs of their works are really a salute to them. I've got a couple Escher books on my bookshelf; and 4 or 5 Dali ones.
So here's a couple Worth1000 tributes to them.
Yeah, I know. This blog just oozes culture. You're welcome.

from our garden
Something quick, as I'm glued to ESPN.com for updates on the Yankees-Rangers Game #4. I'd watch it on TV, but Liz is glued to it watching Bristol and Kurt and Florence cha-cha their little tutus off.
.
Here's a photo I took in our backyard garden today of a spider weaving its web. I feel like he's trying to communicate with me, but what would he be saying?

Visual Food Puns
Two delightful puns from the artisans over at www.Worth1000.com. The top one is easy; the bottom one is a bit more subtle. At least I thought so.
