Pooh

We have returned from our annual pilgrimage to the Pacific Northwest to spend Christmas with our son.  Good to be there; good to be home.

While we were gone, someone evidently turned the thermostat down here in Phoenix.  It will be 37°F for a low tonight, which is roughly the same as the lows Seattle was having whilst we were there.

Weather of Future Past

This is accurate!  I will have been time-traveling there!

Hello Seattle

While 5 p.m. would be a better listing for our home in Phoenix, 4 p.m. is certainly valid when sojourning in Seattle.

Snow in Seattle

It snowed in Seattle yesterday.  The weatherman said it was 5 inches, but the snowdrifts are much higher.

Art Appreciation Sunday

Actually, when we were there for a week last July, the skies were for the most part blue, and the high temperatures were in the 90's.

Back from Seattle

We're back from our week-long sojourn in Seattle.  The flight schedules were all fscked up due to bad weather in Texas and elsewhere, so we took the Stargate portal.

Seattle Public Library

We visited the Seattle Public Library today.  I was interested in seeing how it compared to my hometown Phoenix Public Library.  In terms of quantities of books, DVD's, and CD's, the two are pretty equal.

But the Seattle library has a Coffee/Chocolate snack area, and an adjoining "friend play" zone where you can play library-supplied board games.  No such thing back home.

So the ball's in your court, Phoenix.
