Wheel of Time
I resisted the temptation to rush out and buy the new Dan Brown book, The Lost Symbol. Judging from the Amazon.com reviews, that was a smart move. But the Wheel Of Time series is a different matter. Despite it being four years since the last book (#11, The Knife of Dreams), and a small matter of Robert Jordan passing away in 2007, the next book (The Gathering Storm) is due out in October. I will be buying that one within a week of its release.

And no matter what it says, the image above is NOT the cover for Book #13. It is however, a wonderful piece of Photoshopping.

So, does this mean his series will be incomplete?
Now I'm trying to imagine what would have happened had JK Rowling died before book 7 came out...
Rory loved the Wheel of Time series, I had no idea they were coming out with another one. Might have to keep that in mind for Christmas this year. Thanks!
There will be three more books. Jordan left too many loose ends to tie them all up in one. The plan is to release one each year for the next three years.
Jordan of course was working on it/them up until his death, and he knew he was terminally ill for quite some time. my understanding is that he described his ideas for concluding the series to the replacement author.
