Grammar Nazi


    Yes, I'm a grammar nazi.  I try my best to keep it under control, but sometimes it just bubbles out.  Like when a report from an engineer I work with says we can do a project cheep.  Or our lab ran duels on a certain test and were very precise.

    The two that have been really rubbing me lately are the misuse of loose vs lose and smell vs scent.

    You cannot loose a football game, you lose it.

    And there are no smells in the kitchen, only scents. You may smell something cooking, but the aroma it gives off is a scent.

    That is all. Arg.
